Ministry News in San Pedro Sula...

In June of this year, the church was blessed with an opportunity to broadcast a 1 hour, daily cable TV program…LIVE!  The name of this program is called, "Cristianismo en Accion" (Christianity in Action) and is named in honor of Dean Cary, long term veteran missionary in Latin America who held a Christian radio progam in Honduras by the
same name.  Julio and Freddy rotate their preaching during this broadcast.  Cristianismo en Accion includes teaching, special guest speakers and the Sunday worship services (which are pre-recorded from the previous week).  Please keep the church in your prayers as this ministry has opened the door to potentially reach 75,000 people in San Pedro Sula on a daily basis.

The 1st graduation ceremony of the New Generation Bilingual Christian Academy took place on June 28th, 2008.  The school was started in 2001 with only a
kindergarten class.  Additional grades were added each year.  The graduation marked a milestone in the life of the school as 24 students graduated from the 6th grade.  It was an encouraging time to see how these young people have grown both physically and spiritually.  After the diplomas were handed out, a talent show took place which involved all of the graduates.  Many of them sang specials, including Ray Boltz' “Thank You” (it was especially hard to keep dry eyes during that song).  We are looking forward to the opening of the middle school in September and are busy getting things ready for the challenges that it will bring.
